Penuel Tours and safaris Terms & Policy General

Penuel Tours and safaris organizes safaris, day trips, beach holidays, mountain climbing expeditions and complete private safaris and tour packages in Tanzania. Please read the below terms and conditions carefully as these apply when you enter an agreement with Penuel Tours and safaris.

The terms and conditions might be amended from time to time due to changing circumstances. However, the terms at the time of booking are valid. Conditions in Africa are mostly not the same as those in developed countries and standards of service, medical facilities, safety and security may often be lower than those in your home country. Kindly note that it is the laws and regulations of the country in which services are provided that apply to your holiday arrangements.

Booking confirmation

Once you approved your personalized safari itinerary we will send you an official itinerary. We kindly request to complete this itineray and return it by email or our official contacts. Note that a valid travel insurance is mandatory when booking your safari with us.

After receiving your completed confirmation, we will proceed with the reservations for accommodation, excursions and domestic flights (if applicable). When all travel services have been reconfirmed, we will send you the invoice. This invoice is also your booking confirmation.

Online Payments:

1. Penuel Tours and safaris has partnered with Direct Pay Online to handle credit card transactions. Direct Pay Online makes use of the highest security to guard the financial details of Penuel Tours and safaris’s guests. Direct Pay Online is PCI DSS Level 1 Compliant – The highest Payments Security Standard & is the Most Secure Online Payments Provider in East Africa
2. You certify that you will be using your own credit card for any transaction on this site OR have an approval from the credit card holder to use his card which will need to be provided to Penuel Tours and safaris Booking team on request.
3. Penuel Tours and safaris team has zero tolerance for any fraudulent transactions OR friendly charge backs & reserves the right to cancel any online \ offline transaction which they deem as fraud. The reservation will automatically be cancelled.
4. All fraudulent transactions OR friendly charge backs will be investigated on Penuel Tours and safaris’s will & Legal Authorities will be contacted as we deem necessary.
5. We appreciate all constructive feedback while you safari with us so the All-inclusive safari team can make things better. Penuel Tours and safaris has zero tolerance for asking for compensations / refunds in return to posting negative reviews online.

Cancellation policy

In case you may need to cancel your trip please notify us by email as your earliest convenience. Any cancellations shall be effective on the date that we received your cancellation request. The following cancellation fees apply:

1. Cancellation up to 30 days before the day of arrival: 30% of the total amount;
2. Cancellation from 7 days to 30 days before the day of arrival: 75% of the total amount;
3. Cancellation from 7 days to the day of arrival or in case of no show: 100% of the total amount.

No refunds will be given for any unused services, late arrivals or no-shows.

Amendments

It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your holiday although we reserve the right to make changes at any time. Most of these changes are minor and we will advise you of these in writing at the earliest possible date. When a major change is necessary such as the alteration of your outward or return flights by more than 12 hours or a significant change in the standard of accommodation, provided it does not arise from conditions amounting to force majeure or as a result of an amendment to a scheduled airline timetable, you will have the choice of accepting the new arrangements, taking another holiday with us or cancelling your holiday and receiving a full refund of all monies paid. Compensation will not be payable and no liability beyond offering the above mentioned choices can be accepted where we are forced to make a change or cancel as a result of unusual or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even with all due care. No compensation will be payable and the above mentioned options will not be available if we cancel as a result of your failure to comply with any requirement of these booking conditions entitling us to cancel, or if the change is a minor one. A minor change is a change which, taking into account the information you give us at the time of booking or which we can reasonably be expected to know as a tour operator, we would not reasonably expect to have a significant affect on your confirmed holiday. No compensation is payable for children aged 2 and under. Please note we cannot accept any liability for any damage, loss, expense or other sums of any description, which:

(a) on the basis of the information given to us by you concerning your booking prior to our accepting it, we could not have foreseen you would suffer or incur if we breached our contract with you, or (b) did not result from any breach of contract or any other fault by ourselves or our employees, or where we are responsible for them our suppliers. Additionally we cannot accept liability for any sums which relate to any business losses.

Insurance

A comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and we recommend you to insure for cancellation as well. If you already have a travel insurance we strongly advise you to check your coverage. Note that Penuel Tours and safaris will make the necessary ground service arrangements, but cannot book your international flight. When confirming your safari you will however be automatically signed up for the AMREF Flying Doctors Tourist Evacuation (day trips excluded).

Visa

When traveling to Tanzania you will need a tourist visa. It is your responsibility to obtain this visa online prior to your safari or upon arrival. More information about the tourist visa can be found in our Tanzania Travel Tips.

Transportation

Every effort is made to ensure that the safari vehicles are provided in a roadworthy condition but no liability can be accepted for a puncture, breakdown, damage, or delay as a result of the poor road conditions. We only allow the guides to drive the company vehicles whose decision on all matters, such as the route taken, is final.

Wildlife

It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat and as such, we cannot guarantee wildlife or game viewing. You must take caution when viewing the animals, keep a minimum distance and carefully follow the instructions given by either the tour guide or wildlife rangers.

Complaints

Any complaints must be reported immediately to the Penuel Tours and safaris guide (or head office) and to the supplier of the service, who will do their best to resolve the matter. If the problem is not solved to your satisfaction, the complaint should be reported in writing and not later than 30 days after completion of the tour. Liability for complaints not notified in accordance with the above described procedure cannot be accepted.

Liability

Whilst Penuel Tours and safaris will exercise utmost care in dealing with you as our esteemed guest and your belongings, we cannot be responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, personal injury or death. It is therefore mandatory to have a comprehensive travel insurance when traveling.

Force Majeure

If Penuel Tours and safaris is affected by force majeure, which means any circumstances beyond the control of the company (including and without limitation, explosions, floods, tempests, fires, accidents, war or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions or other outwards occurrences, we shall

inform you immediately of the nature and extend thereof. The company is not allowed to violate or abuse these conditions.

Payment of any refund to you as result of the non-performance of any company, we shall use reasonable efforts to compensate you where possible. However, we will be entitled to deduct from any refund recoverable to the reasonable actual and potential costs to the company of the force majeure.

Use of website

Penuel Tours and safaris licenses you as the user of the website to view, download and print the content, provided that such content is used for private, personal, educational and/or non- commercial purposes only. Content from this website shall not be used or exploited by users for any commercial and non-private purposes without the prior written permission of Penuel Tours and safaris. We commit ourselves to take all reasonable and necessary steps to protect your personal information.
